The Defiant Edge is the first ball in the newly named Roto Grip HP4 line. Starting this summer the Shield, Sword, Crown, and Royal lines will no longer be the categories describing the price points for Roto Grip bowling balls. Instead, balls will be categorized into price points by the new naming system entitled HP (Hook Potential) followed by the number of the range in which they fall. There will be four HP lines, one being the lowest entry level performance ball and each step offering stronger core and cover combinations.
The strong pearl cover and Paragon core gave us the best reaction on the medium test pattern. We saw the Defiant Edge tumble through the front and the motion
