The Octane Burn is Motiv’s latest release to use their proven Quadfire symmetrical core shape. While it shares the same weight block with the original Octane, the Octane Burn uses the Helix SFP coverstock, which comes out of the box with a polished finish. Despite having a shiny pearl cover, we found the Burn to be smoother when it got out of the oil pattern compared to the Octane.

We had a fantastic reaction with this ball on our medium test pattern. All three testers camped out in their favorite parts of the lane. Stroker could play straighter up the outside of the lane, with his Burn picking up strong in the midlane and looking like it had a magnet pulling it to the pocket each shot.
