As stated in the reviews of the other versions of the Hook!, this series is a replacement for the discontinued Missing Links. Those balls were known for their consistent ball reactions and the Hook! series looks to be the same.
All three testers preferred using the solid Hook! on our dry lane condition. Like with the Orange/Purple Hook!, the shiny finish gave the Hook! all the push it needed to strike on this shorter pattern. Being a solid, the Yellow/Red Hook! picks up the lane just slightly sooner than its pearl counterpart. Out of the pattern it has the same smooth arc shape we saw on this pattern with the Orange/Purple.
