The Impulse will be the new benchmark ball in the Columbia 300 lineup. This addition to the Orange Line uses a brand new symmetrical core design that features a 2.49″ RG and a high differential of 0.050″. This new Impulse core is surrounded by the HyperSHOCK filler material that had only been seen previously in the higher-priced Swerve releases. On the outside is the Reflex Hybrid coverstock that was used previously on the Swerve GT. This hybrid cover comes out of the box shiny at 1000 Abralon with Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish.

For all three of our testers, the Impulse provided a strong and smooth shape that was best at handling our medium test pattern. Its lower RG core design revved up quickly for all three testers, while its polished cover helped push it to the breakpoint without burning up all of its energy.
