Columbia 300 Ransom Bowling Ball Review

The Ransom is the newest upper-mid performance release from Columbia 300. Inside the Ransom is a modified Full Swing core which now has a medium RG rating and which offers over five inches of total track flare. Wrapped around the Full Swing V.2 core is a brand new cover for Columbia 300. The Super Tilt Pearl veneer works well with this core, providing easy length with an angular motion at the breakpoint on any medium type oil pattern.

For those bowling mainly on medium oil patterns, we recommend going with medium to long pin placements to take full advantage of the intent of this new release. Choosing an earlier rolling layout will allow this ball to pick up the lane earlier, creating a smoother more arcing reaction at the breakpoint.
