With the Marauder, DV8 has added a new ball to their mid-price line and is their first out of the Reckless ball names. The Marauder uses a brand new core and the Class 4 reactive coverstock. For us, this is a stronger midrange ball in terms of overall hook at the breakpoint than either the Reckless or the Too Reckless. This cover stores energy unlike the previous two balls, resulting in a much more angled reaction down lane.

Our testers loved this motion on our medium test pattern. The Marauder does not rev up as quickly as the reckless bowling balls, but is much more receptive when it sees the friction.
