Bowling balls with particle additives in the coverstock seem to slowly be making a comeback. The Lane Masters Black Diamond Particle Pearl utilizes the same core shape as the Black Diamond and Black Pearl line of bowling balls, with some modifications to the densities.

This core, wrapped by a pearlized shell, gave our test staff the best reaction on the medium test pattern. The higher RG is key to keeping balls with aggressive coverstocks from giving users a hook/set reaction. There were no signs of the Black Diamond Particle Pearl slowing down as the lane transitioned.
