The Fire Road is the latest addition to the ever popular and successful Thunder line of bowling balls. The Fe3 core used in the previous three releases is back, this time with an upgrade to the pearlized coverstock. The pearlized R2X used on balls like the Marvel Pearl is used on this Road. This coverstock is more responsive to dry boards resulting in a more angular reaction than the R2S used on the Victory Road and Crossroad.
