With so many variables in bowling, it can be hard to keep track of the things that really matter to your performance. Spare shooting, however, is one of the easier variables to measure. Keep track of the spares you make and the ones you miss so you know what to work on in your practice sessions.

To make it competitive with yourself or others, try a mini-game of Spare Shooting Golf during your next league night or tournament block. The scoring method is simple: give yourself +2 for missing a single pin, +1 for missing a multi-pin makeable spare, and -1 for converting a split or washout.

At the end of the league night or tournament block, your goal is to have the lowest score possible.
