The Badger is the second ball from 900 Global to feature a traditional two-piece design. It differs from the first such ball, the Honey Badger, in both core design and coverstock. The Badger uses a symmetrical core shape with identical RG and differential to the Honey Badger and a hybrid version of the S71 cover. The changes from the asymmetrical core shape and pearlized coverstock that were on the Honey Badger to the symmetrical core and hybrid cover on the Badger help increase its midlane read and smooth out its motion off the dry. This reaction makes the Badger extremely user-friendly across multiple types of conditions.

We started with the Badger on our medium oil test pattern, where all three of our testers had their best lines to the pocket. Tweener had the best look on the fresh, as he was able to get to the pocket from nearly anywhere with his Badger. He started his ball around the 20 board, targeted over 15 at the arrows, and used a breakpoint on nine. He could miss right and his ball wouldn’t overreact to the dry, while his shots missed left into the pattern picked up heavily enough in the
